We accept Internet sign-ups only. Shopping jobs are assigned via e-mail. Please, no phone calls. Our staff is busy completing placements and assignments.

Q. What is mystery shopping?
A. Businesses hire Shoppers' View to gather and analyze anonymous opinions regarding their operations. To gather this information, we hire mystery shoppers (you) to visit our clients' locations, posing as potential customers. The shoppers rate information such as customer service, sales ability, friendliness, cleanliness of the location, ease of finding, and more. This information is used by our clients to improve customer relations and increase sales through improved customer satisfaction. It is Shoppers' View's job to help our clients improve. You, as a mystery shopper, can help—and get paid to do so!

Q. How do I get assignments?
A. First, complete the Shoppers' View Shopper Sign-Up Form. When a shopper is needed in your area, we will e-mail the assignment to all the shoppers who fit the profile of our client's customers. The first person who responds to the e-mail and who can meet our deadlines will get the job. Assignments are given out to experienced shoppers first, but as we require new faces all the time, even inexperienced shoppers will eventually be chosen. Be patient. You must complete a W-9 form (see download) and return it to us by mail or fax before receiving a payment.

Q. What happens after I accept an assignment?
A. When you log on to our Web site, you will receive everything you need to complete your assignment, including downloadable addresses, instructions, and tips. After you complete the shop, you will log back onto our Web site to input the information.

Q. How and when do I get paid?
A. Checks are sent out by U.S. Postal Service. Since you will be working with Shoppers' View as an independent contractor, you must have a completed W-9 form on file with us before a payment can be sent to you. Checks are mailed no later than three weeks after the completion of an assignment.

Q. How much do assignments pay?
A. The average shop pays $15 to $20. Some pay much more.

Before signing up to be a shopper, you must read this agreement. It describes the legal implications of accepting work as a mystery shopper with Shoppers' View.

Independent Contractor Agreement

Shoppers' View uses independent contractors to complete many assignments. You are under no obligation to accept any particular assignment. As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for any and all taxes and obligations as a small business. If your compensation from Shoppers' View exceeds $599 in a calendar year, the following January you will receive, as legally required, an IRS 1099 Form to file with your federal income tax return.

Compensation varies by project. Some projects include purchase reimbursement (product, services, or food). You may be required to provide a receipt for proof of purchase in order to be reimbursed.

You must operate with the highest levels of integrity and honesty. Assignments should only be accepted when you KNOW you can fulfill the obligation by the required deadline. Individuals not living up to the obligations of an assignment will not be used for future assignments.

All information obtained from or collected for Shoppers' View must be held in strict confidence. Forms, clients, reports, etc., must not be disclosed to any third parties.

You release Shoppers' View from any and all claims arising out of your services and indemnify and hold Shoppers' View harmless from any use or misuse of products acquired by you in connection with your services.
